Downtown Chandler is built around Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, the original town square laid out by the city's founder, ringed by galleries, restaurants, small office buildings and the historic San Marcos resort. It is the one part of Chandler that feels like a town centre rather than a corridor.
It also runs the densest event calendar in the city — the Multicultural Festival in January, the Barbeque Festival in March, the Jazz Festival in April, the Saturday farmers market through summer, and the Tumbleweed Tree every December since 1957. Downtown venues book around all of it.
Our downtown work is mostly private: gallery openings, corporate receptions in loft spaces above the square, rehearsal dinners, and hospitality suites for businesses hosting during a festival weekend. The buildings here are old, which is most of what shapes the plan.
